The hotel is a mixed bag - my room was not ideal being small and seemingly built for a handicap person, but the staff was accommodating and helped create a smooth experience. As a pre-cruise hotel with a view of our cruise ship, this hotel offers OK rooms which are owned by private individuals and in need of repairs. The shower curtain rod is coming out of the wall, and the balcony slider door doesn't lock. The service is robot-like and lacks friendliness, especially for early travellers. The location is good for exploring Waikiki and next to Ala Moana Center. The dining should be complimentary but is expensive, and the Plantation Cafe offers an extensive yet pricey buffet.
